Right this minute, I have clients in Celina, Texas, Eau Claire, Wisconsin, Madison, Wisconsin, Alabama, Sioux Falls and many, many other places, SWAMPED with new patients.
The dental practice I run here in Salem: booked.
Yet, there are guys here in Salem, and in the cities above, quietly accepting a near-empty or partially-full (those are the optimists of the bunch) schedule, hoping things will turn around.
Incorrectly so, they believe by “thinking” about getting more new patients, they will automatically appear.
You’ve heard it before: HOPE, as a strategy, sucks.
If yours consists of HOPING more new patients will call, yet you are unwilling to do what it takes to drive them by the thundering herds into your practice, then, well, I guess, keep hopin’.
Meanwhile, guys that are hungry, active, and WANT to grow, are busier than a 1-legged man at a butt-kickin’ contest.
My clients are engaging radio personalities for endorsements, mailing thousands of postcards a month, running 10s of thousands of free standing inserts and, smartly, growing their patient base internally, from patient newsletters. In MANY cases, this is just what one guy is doing. Sadly, this is more than some others will attempt in a year…And for this one client, this was his MONTH of May.
If you are doing well, keep at it. ADD one more new patient acquisition strategy THIS week. Don’t wait. Make hay whilst the sun shines.
If you’re faltering, DO something. Mail postcards. Call a radio celeb and offer them cosmetic dentistry in exchange for blathering on-air about it.
